First, we don’t believe in creating apps that only benefit the publisher or owner, e.g. apps that just make it easier for users to spend their money. We believe that mobile apps have to have genuine and lasting value for users; as such, our apps include instruction and other yoga-related content that we have tested against tens of thousands of users - we know users appreciate and use our apps.

Second, mobile app development and deployment to marketplaces (like Android, Apple and Amazon) is just too expensive for all but the largest kinds of businesses. In order to minimize cost, our apps are derived from a flexible template that we have developed. If you have a chance to play with any of the apps listed on this site, we hope that you will agree that the branding and customized links, etc. make each app feel in every way like they were custom-built.

Third, traditional software development simply takes too long. Again, using our template approach, we can have a "customized Android app" up and on the marketplace in as little as 24 hours (Apple has a longer approval process that itself is often 3-4 days so that platform has to take a bit longer).

Fourth, each app must reflect our client’s style, practice and worldview. This is not about us. While we provide everything out-of-the-box that a client would need, we are also prepared for additional levels of customization including swapping out all media, replacing daily messages, adding new categories of yoga postures, etc.
